Why should my organisation save with Kingdom Bank?

One of the main questions we get as a bank is “why?” Why go to the effort of changing bank? Why choose a slightly lower interest rate than I can get elsewhere? Why does my banking need to be explicitly ‘Christian’?

As a bank, we are passionate about giving people the opportunity to give their money a mission by partnering with churches and ministries across the UK. We want to see the UK filled with healthy, growing, gospel-hearted churches, which is the core aim of all we do. Here are four reasons why we think saving with Kingdom Bank is worth it:

1. You can see your impact.

One of the joys of choosing to save with Kingdom Bank is seeing your money being used to serve gospel ministries across the UK. By holding your reserves with us, you partner with other Christian projects as your money helps to provide mortgages that help ministries grow.

Through the Good News Stories on our website and our newsletters, you can see the impact that of the reserves you’ve set aside. Unlike with other banks, you can be confident that your money is being invested in a way which aligns with your gospel values.  We think is particularly important when people are faithfully giving money for your ministry. Kingdom Bank gives you the opportunity to safely steward these gifts, all while it earns you interest.

2. We are a fully regulated bank.

You may think that gospel-centered banking means you need to compromise on the safety of your funds, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. As a fully regulated bank, you can be confident that your money is in safe hands. We are authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority. This means we willingly submit to these regulatory bodies, seeing this as a key part of our witness as a Christian bank. We prioritise transparency and openness.

We are also part of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), which provides added protection for your money. You can read more about the FSCS here

3. Our accounts have churches and charities in mind.

Our savings, loans and insurance products are purpose-built for mission and ministry. As our customer-facing staff are all Christians, we have a deep understanding of how ministries operate. Our deposit accounts reflect this, and we have tried to create a range of products which provide the flexibility needed by many organisations. We have a variety of products to suit different needs, and our team is always happy to answer any questions.

4. We’re here to help.

At Kingdom Bank, you don’t waste your time speaking with a robot to try and problem solve. Our friendly, Christian team are just a phone call away. We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service. Opening a deposit account with Kingdom Bank is a straight-forward process, and our team will helpfully guide you through.

Once you have enquired about an account, you will be contacted the same day if possible. After submitting a completed application form, it will generally take up to five days before you’re contacted to request your opening funds. Once your deposit is received, it takes around three days to finalise the account opening process. If you have any questions, our team will gladly assist you.

Jesus the Good Steward: Five ways to follow his example

The concept of stewardship holds a significant place within Christian theology. To be a good steward is to responsibly and faithfully manage all the resources entrusted to us by God. It lies at the heart of the command given to Adam and Eve in Genesis to be fruitful, subdue the earth and rule over everything. As God’s image bearers they were to reflect the heart of a benevolent God to the world in a caring and wise way (Genesis 1:26-28). It’s a charge that carries on to us.
