Celebration Service
On 18th May we held a Celebration Service, to reflect on what God has been doing through Kingdom Bank over the past year.

First of all Chris Sheldon, CEO of Kingdom Bank was delighted to announce that mortgage lending is now at its highest level ever.

Then we heard from Kristian Thorpe, Lead Pastor at Arena Church in Ilkeston and Mansfield.  It is a church that Kingdom Bank has helped in their expansion plans, to enable them to do more in their community.

Their work is now run by 70 volunteers, they feed 4000 people a year, and touch the lives of 6000 people every month.  It is a ministry built on loving our neighbour.  It really is a church at the heart of their community.

Then Malcolm Hayes, a Director of Kingdom Bank, talked about God’s design for growth. He reminded us that the Bank was created through sacrificial giving to support church growth, and that the core principles haven’t changed.  The key imperatives of the business are still:

  • Keeping God at the centre
  • Valuing people
  • Handling finances responsibly
  • And through these principles, changing lives for good.

He concluded by saying that if we stick to these principles, then God will continue to bless the business.

Appropriately the service ended by singing ’Jesus be the centre’.

Please let us know if you would like to be invited to the service next year, so that you can find out what God is doing first hand.
